Stu
Pollard, Writer-Director-Producer
A native of Louisville, KY, Stu graduated
with a degree in business from Georgetown University in
1989. He spent three years toiling for McCann-Erickson
advertising in Manhattan, then moved to LA in 1992 to
attend film school at the University of Southern California.
Upon
finishing at USC, he founded LUNACY UNLIMITED, a production
company that dabbled in commercials, industrials, and
high concept wedding videos (live gunfire, exploding reptiles,
etc.). NICE
GUYS SLEEP ALONE is Stu's first feature film. Is it an
autobiography? "I don't know," he says, "I don't sleep."
Stu
is currently splitting time between Louisville, KY, and
Santa Monica, CA, as he edits his new film, a pscychological
suspense drama entitled KEEP
YOUR DISTANCE.
Heidi
Winston, Producer
Having
produced a number of theater projects in Los Angeles,
Heidi Winston was introduced to independent film on Harmony
Korine's Gummo, where she worked closely with ultimate
indie producers Scott MacCaulay and Robin O'Hara. She
continued her work with them as an Associate Producer
on Jesse Peretz' First Love, Last Rites, starring Giovanni
Ribissi and Natasha Gregson Wagner. She also was an Associate
Producer on Erik Burke's Loser: The Movie. She recently
produced Regular Joe, written by Urbania's Daniel Reitz.
NICE GUYS SLEEP ALONE was Heidi's debut as a feature film
producer, and a continuation of her collaborative work
with Stu Pollard and his company Lunacy Unlimited.
Diana
Williams, Co-Producer
Diana,
like Stu, is a graduate of Georgetown University. A member
of the DGA, she has produced numerous independent films
including the love machine and the documentary Another
First Step. Plastic Jesus a script, in which she is attached
to produce, was recently named as a finalist for the LAIFF
Production Grant Program. Diana most recently produced
the feature Our Song for director Jim McKay (Girl's Town),
which screened at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival.
Nathan
Hope, Director of Photography
Another
USC Film School alum, Nathan shot dozens of 35mm shorts
while in school, and has since helmed music videos for
artists such as James McMurtry, the Spin Doctors, John
Lee Hooker, and Tenderloin. His feature work includes
Roger Nygard's SUCKERS and the third installement of the
PROPHECY series starring Christopher Walken. He recently
completed shooting for MIMIC 2 for Dimension Films.
Terry
Kelley, Editor
The most seasoned veteran of Nice
Guys' key personnel, Terry's resume includes the features
SWEETHEARTS, with Jeaneane Garafalo, THE NEW SWISS FAMILY
ROBINSON, and BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD DO AMERICA. He recently
completed his second season of editing UPN's sci-fi series
SEVEN DAYS.
